9 Days Rwanda Primate & Adventure Trip

After your breakfast, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial with transfer to Musanze, the home of
mountain Gorillas. The journey north passes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that characterize much
of Rwanda’s landscape and gradually climbs to the base of the Virunga Volcanoes enjoy your afternoon
cultural activities at Gorilla Guardians. Dinner & Overnight stay.

On this special day you will have the rare opportunity to observe the famous Rwandan mountain gorillas
(subject to gorilla permits being available). Tracking the gorillas through the forested slopes of the Virungas is
a magical experience. You will get to the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and be back at the base in time
for a late lunch. Some gorilla families, return to the Lodge for Lunch followed by Leisure in the afternoon. In
the afternoon, drive to the village with huge plantations of banana where the tourists learn how we grow
bananas, their species, ripening process, demonstration of making beer, visiting different families for further
demonstration, historical background of homemade beer in Rwanda, a visit to a local pub where local
homemade beers are being served and enjoy the interaction with people who are involved in the tour
package. This activity takes about 3 hours Relaxation enjoying property amenities Dinner & Overnight stay.

On this day in the morning, you will go to RDB Headquarter for briefing with a cup of Coffee or tea, you will
join a group of tourists heading to the hike on the top of the Volcano where there a crater lake on the top of
the Volcanoes. You will come back at the Hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay.

On this day you will depart for Golden Monkeys Trekking to observe the famous Rwandan mountain. Enjoy
Lunch at The Lodge before you depart from foothills of the Virunga Volcanoes and drive to the ‘beach city’ of
Kibuye, the capital of the Western Province of Rwanda, home to rocky beaches, peaceful islands and the
lovely Ndaba Falls, which lie a short drive from the city. Dinner & Overnight.

After breakfast you will go for your morning boat cruise visiting different islands located in the lake Kivu such
as Amahoro, and drive to Nyungwe National Parka at an altitude of 1600-2950m above sea level, this
mountainous rainforest reserve is rich in flora and fauna, with over 260 species of trees and shrubs, and over
100 types of orchid and giant lobelia alone. As well as incredible biodiversity, the park also has breathtaking
views. Arrive at the Lodge for Lunch followed by optional Canopy Walk in the Afternoon. Enjoy Dinner at your
Lodge followed by overnight in inside Nyungwe. Dinner & Overnight stay

On this day you will enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge before embarking on a thrilling hike in search of
chimpanzee communities. The Rwandan chimpanzee population is thought to consist of approx. 400-500
individuals, confined to the Nyungwe National Park, including a small community in the Cyamudongo Forest.
Prepare to hear these excitable primates before you see them, as their pant-hoots travel through the deep
forest. During your hike you may also spot migratory birdlife including the Ross’ turaco, grey-cheeked hornbill,
red-breasted sparrow hawk and regal sunbird. After lunch, spend the afternoon at leisure making use of lodge
facilities, or explore the surrounding area. Enjoy Dinner and Overnight Dinner & Overnight stay.

On this day you will enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge before embarking on a thrilling hike in search of
Colobus Monkeys communities. During your hike you may also spot migratory birdlife including the Ross’
turaco, grey-cheeked hornbill, red-breasted sparrow hawk and regal sunbird. After lunch, spend the afternoon
transfer to Kigali City on your way coming you will also experience Rwandan Cultural to the former Mwami
Palace (King’s Palace) in Nyanza. Dinner & Overnight stay Kigali.
